Introduction to pottery techniques - 5 weeks course - Highgate
This is a great introduction to pottery . You’ll explore a range of techniques, including pinching, coiling, slab building and wheel throwing . The course structure is as follows:
Session one is pinching and coiling
Session two and three , slab rolling/ week 2 and assembly/ week 3
Session four will be a two hours wheel throwing session
Session five, the final week is dedicated to glazing, where you’ll learn how to apply the finishing touches to your pieces.

Taught by an experienced instructor, with lessons tailored to your skill level.

Create up to 5 pottery pieces inclusive, with the option to glaze and fire extras for £10 per pot.

Beginners will build foundational skills, while more experienced students can refine their practice.
5 glazed and fired pots are included in the course fee. Additional pots are £10 each.
