The Well Walk Pottery - Hampstead

  (All in One)  workshop,

• All in one session  ( to hand build and raw glaze a pot and have a go on the potter wheel to make a bowl)

This is our most popular class : It lasts 2 hours, you get to handbuild an item of pottery, like a small vase, using the coiling technique. Then you will 'raw glaze' it; by applying coloured glaze directly onto the wet clay you just built. Whilst you are busy doing that , we will ask you to go on the potter's wheel, with the help of an experienced potter, to make a bowl.  The handbuilding takes about an hour , raw glazing about half an hour and to make a bowl 15 minutes .The bowl will be dipped in a colour of your choice when we can handle it later. We will fire your two items after drying them and they will be ready for you to pick up after 3 weeks later.
